Each biochip contains 8 capillaries in parallel which can be coated with a protein or seeded with cells or microbes and subsequent study of drug interaction, imaging or molecular biology studies under shear flow. The protective cover on the bottom of the chips is peeled away to reveal adhesive tape to which glass coverslip which is non-treated (supplied) can be adhered. It is also possible to adhere different materials that the user may have. Each 10 pack contains 80 assays. Compatible with ExiGo, UniGo, 4U, Mirus for shear stresses of 0.1 - 2 dyne/cm2 (water based solution) and 0.45 - 9 dyne/cm2 (whole blood). Compatible with Kima pump for shear stresses of 1 dyne/cm2 (water based solution); Kima pump not compatible with whole blood.
