Our hepatic sinusoidal endothelial cells are isolated from whole liver tissue that was gifted for organ transplantation but could not be used for that purpose. Each donor has confirmed documentation on file allowing for research use of any non-transplantable organs or tissues. Our cell isolation procedures are IRB approved, and we have a rigorous quality control system which helps to ensure that we ship only the highest quality cells to our clients. The cells are isolated through collagenase digestion and selective cell culture media. Then, they are characterized by a panel of markers to verify their cell type.
