Human OATP1B1 TRANSiPORT (G) Cells are one of the SLC transporter expressing cells and HEK293 cells transiently over-expressing OATP1B1 (Organic anion transporting polypeptide 1B1, SLCO1B1). TRANSiPORT (G) Cells are cryopreserved format, offering flexibility in experimental design, allowing for evaluation of interactions between your drug candidates and the transporter of interest just in 2 days. SLC transporters typically mediate the influx of their substrates into the cells, and therefore, you can determine whether the compound acts as a substrate and/or inhibitor of the transporter by measuring the amount incorporated into the cells. In vitro assays using cell-based systems are described in the ICH M12 Guideline “Drug Interaction Studies” and one vial of TRANSiPORT (G) Cells contains enough cells to assay 1 plate, such as 24 well or 96 well format.
