Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), once renowned for their role in mRNA vaccines, are now emerging as powerful delivery systems in oncology. Advances in ionisable lipid formulations improve cytoplasmic delivery and reduce off-target effects, enabling efficient transport of mRNA, siRNA, or gene-editing tools to tumour or immune-modulatory cells.
