Why Reprogram Somatic Cells into Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs)? 

Reprogramming somatic cells into induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) allows researchers to generate patient-specific cells that, like embryonic stem cells, can differenciate into virtually any cell type in the body (Figure 1).

This enables:

  • Accurate modelling of human diseases,

  • Predictive drug development using relevant human tissue, and

  • Deep exploration of epigenetic mechanisms that dictate cell fate.

Because iPSCs originate from adult cells, they avoid embryo-related ethical concerns and support the future of personalized regenerative therapies, where a patient’s own cells may be repaired or replaced.

Introducing INCOGNITO™ iPSCMax™ mRNA Reprogramming Mix

Tebubio now offers INCOGNITO™ iPSCMax™ mRNA Reprogramming Mix, a proprietary blend of five pseudouridine (Ψ)-modified, dsRNA-depleted mRNAs designed to reprogram somatic cells, particularly fibroblasts, into iPSCs with high efficiency (Figure 2).

The combination of pseudouridine modification and dsRNA removal (via Min-Immune™ Gold dsRNA Removal Kit) produces an mRNA mixture with ultra-low immunogenicity, preventing activation of cellular innate immune receptors.
