SPiDER Blue Cellular Senescence Detection Kit
Cellular senescence is involved in ageing, cancer, fibrosis and many chronic diseases. Reliable detection of senescent cells is essential for understanding disease mechanisms and evaluating therapeutic interventions. However, traditional SA-β-Gal assays can be difficult to combine with multiplex fluorescence workflows.
Overview

Case Study
Researchers investigated lipid droplet accumulation in A549 cells following doxorubicin-induced senescence. Senescent cells were identified using SPiDER Blue, while lipid droplets were detected using Lipi-Deep Red. Learn more about how to visualise lipid droplets here.
The study showed increased lipid droplet accumulation in SA-β-Gal-positive senescent cells, demonstrating the value of SPiDER Blue for multiplex imaging and phenotypic characterisation of senescence-associated cellular changes.
