Why Choose Our Active Enzymes?

We understand that in research, the quality of your reagents determines the success of your experiments. That’s why our active enzymes offer:

  • Extensively qualified proteins from trusted suppliers

  • High lot-to-lot consistency for reproducible results

  • Comprehensive activity data and experimental parameters for critical applications

Applications in Research

Academic Research

  • Study metabolic and signal transduction pathways

  • Investigate enzyme kinetics and protein regulation

  • Apply in molecular biology and biochemical techniques

Pharmaceutical R&D

  • Explore enzyme targets for drug inhibition or activation

  • Produce particular and pure active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs)

  • Evaluate product stability, potency, and contamination during production

Whether you’re exploring metabolic pathways in academia or developing a new therapeutic in pharma, our enzymes give you the confidence to focus on your science, not reagent quality.

Our Protein Classes

We partner with BPS Biosciences, Echelon, and LifeSensors to bring you a wide range of active enzymes:

Epigenetic Enzymes

Regulate gene expression without altering the genetic code through DNA, RNA, or histone modifications. Examples include:

Figure 1: Function of histone deacetylases.

Figure 2: Function of Kinases and Phosphorylases.

Kinases & Phosphorylases

Control signal transduction, cell division, and metabolism through phosphorylation. Kinases transfer phosphate groups from ATP to other molecules, while phosphorylases catalyse the reverse reaction. More than 500 known kinases control half of all cellular functions (Figure 2).

Our selection includes:

Figure  4: The PI(4)P product of recombinant full-length human PI4KIIIb enzyme (117P32-102G) was measured in a PI 4 kinase Activity ELISA. The enzyme reactions were run for 0 and 4 hrs at RT with shaking.

PARPs & PAR Hydrolases

Key players in DNA damage response, ensuring genome integrity.
We offer PARPs and hydrolases such as PARG and ARH3 (Figure 5).

Phosphodiesterases (PDEs)

Catalyse hydrolysis of phosphodiester bonds in nucleotides, DNA/RNA, and lipids. Examples include PDE1a (Figure 6), PDE3B (human, rodent, dog), and many others.

Proteases

Discover a wide variety of proteases with diverse cleavage specificity for protein research, including Aminopeptidases, Carboxypeptidases, and Dipeptidyl-Peptidases (Figure 7).

Ubiquitination Enzymes

Explore the ubiquitin-proteasome system with a wide range of active enzymes related to ubiquitination: E1, E2, E3 ligases, deubiquitinases, and multi-catalytic protease complexes (Figure 8).

Functional Assays & Substrates

Need to measure the inhibitory effects of specific compounds? We offer:

  • Ready-to-use functional assays for many active enzymes

  • Substrates for enzyme reactions

  • Full lab services to run functional assays and test inhibitory potential

For example, HDAC1 activity can be measured using the HDAC1 Fluorogenic Assay Kit (Figure 9).
