m-PEG-DSPE, MW 2,000 is a PEGylation reagent containing a DSPE phopholipid. The DSPE-PEGs have been FDA approved for medical applications and are useful self-assembling reagents for preparation of PEGylated micelles. The hydrophobic property of the DSPE allows for efficient encapsulation and congregation of hydrophobic drugs while the hydrophilic PEG increases the drug nanocarrier overall solubility.
