Control Vesicles - 0.5mL/ vial

Control Vesicles are one of the ABC transporter products and were prepared from purified plasma membranes isolated from an insect cell system (Sf9 cells infected with baculovirus) without exsogenous transporter gene for use as a negative control in ABC transporter vesicles assays. The use of these control vesicles is recommended when Sf9 cell-intrinsic ATP-dependent transport and adsorption to the vesicle surface would be problematic due to the properties of the compound. ABC transporter vesicles are easy-to-use reagents that allow you to evaluate interactions between your drug candidates and the transporter of interest in a high-throughput format. ABC transporters mediate their substrates into inside-out membrane vesicles in ATP-dependent manner, and therefore, you can determine whether the compound acts as a substrate and/or inhibitor of the transporter by measuring the amount incorporated into the vesicles.
