AMCA-PEG8-Azide is a fluroescent reagent with an azide group for click chemistry conjugation with terminal alkynes via a copper-catalyzed click reaction or strained cyclooctynes via a copper-free click reaction. The hydrophilic PEG spacer arm increases water solubility, membrane permability, and conjugation efficiency. AMCA-PEG8-Azide is a popular blue fluorescent tagging molecule that has a maximal absorption of 345 nm and emission at 450 nm. This dye is used for protein and peptide labeing.
