AMCA-PEG4-acid is a fluroescent reagent with a terminal carboxylic acid group. The hydrophilic PEG spacer arm increases water solubility, membrane permability, and conjugation efficiency. AMCA-PEG4-acid is a popular blue fluorescent tagging molecule that has a maximal absorption of 345 nm and emission at 450 nm.
